DroneUA forms technological alliances for Ukraine's reconstruction: an overview from the U-Nation conference

The role of modern technologies goes far beyond the automation and digitalization of a number of industries. The application of innovations can lay the foundation for a fundamentally new economy — flexible and integrated into global processes, which reinforces their strategically important role in the reconstruction of Ukraine. An important aspect of this process is international cooperation, which includes strategic partnerships with American technology companies and investors. Such alliances create the prerequisites for scaling Ukrainian business to a level that meets the standards of the global market.

Thus, on July 2 in Washington, an event took place that became a meeting point of strategic visions and practical experience — “Innovations to Rebuild Ukraine.” The U-Nation conference brought together Ukrainian entrepreneurs, American investors, and technology leaders in a meaningful discussion about how innovation, partnerships, and the integration of technologies can contribute to the recovery of Ukraine and create a foundation for the modernization of key industries

. The event took place at the American Enterprise Institute — one of the leading think tanks in the United States, which shapes the expert agenda and promotes public discussion around global challenges. It is symbolic that the meeting was held on the eve of U.S. Independence Day — an occasion that reminds us of the shared values of freedom, sustainable development, trust, and international cooperation that unite nations in their pursuit of a sustainable future.

By implementing successful strategies in the recovery of key economic sectors and representing the Ukrainian technology ecosystem in the U.S. market, the parent company of BEETLESS — DroneUA took part in the conference. During the panel discussion, Valerii Iakovenko, co-founder and managing partner of DroneUA, Futurology, shared many years of experience in cross-cultural cooperation, which has become the basis for the companies’ large-scale projects in various fields — from agro-industrial solutions to autonomous systems and digital services.

“Today, partnership determines the real pace of change. For Ukraine, it is especially important to have allies who are ready to invest in recovery not only with resources but also with expertise. It is precisely thanks to such events that an environment is created where joint projects with American partners become a real foundation for economic development, technological modernization, and strengthening economic resilience,” noted Valerii Iakovenko.

Particular attention in the discussions was focused on the synergy of local expertise and global partnerships, which create a reliable landscape for the systemic transformation of manufacturing, logistics, and energy infrastructure, forming additional investment attractiveness for Ukraine. The dynamics of the discussion highlighted the participants’ readiness not only to share their own cases but also to create a joint mechanism for scaling solutions that meet contemporary challenges.

“Ukraine has become the drone capital, and DroneUA is an example of a company that makes a significant contribution to the development of entire economic industries. Today, we talk a lot about drones in the security context, but these technologies can and should work for recovery, integrating into all key areas — from the agricultural sector to infrastructure. You represent Ukrainian solutions in the United States, and this is an important experience worth watching and supporting,” noted Yan Shapiro, founder of U-Nation.

DroneUA expresses gratitude to the organizers of the U-Nation conference, as well as personally to Yan Shapiro for the initiative and professional organization of the event, which brought together experts and entrepreneurs from various sectors. The company thanks the teams of U-Nation Global, the American Enterprise Institute, the Odesa Regional Development Agency, Confidante Consulting, and The Ukrainian Review for their contribution to creating a platform for meaningful cooperation and exchange of experience, as well as all participants and speakers for their openness, engagement, and willingness to work on joint projects on the path to Ukraine’s recovery.
