At a time when global challenges require united efforts, the technological partnership between Ukraine and the United States is of particular importance. Cross-cultural cooperation, exchange of expertise, and the formation of joint initiatives in the field of innovation all open up new opportunities for sustainable development and strengthening the strategic presence of Ukrainian technologies in the international arena. This partnership is based on trust, mutual support, and a shared vision of the future, where technology serves not only as a basis for economic growth, but also for security, humanitarian support, and critical infrastructure development.
In the context of strengthening transatlantic ties and searching for new formats of cooperation between the Ukrainian innovation ecosystem and the American business community, Emory Morsberger, Executive Director of Gateway85 CID, and Olga Gorman, Director of Community Development at Gateway85 CID and coordinator of the HelpingUkraine initiative, visited to the office of Beetless' parent company —- DroneUA in Kyiv on 11 June.
The visit confirmed the deep interest in the potential of Ukrainian solutions on the part of American institutions, which is a continuation of the common history and established cooperation between the DroneUA and Gateway85 CID teams. In particular, within the framework of joint events: Launch Pad Tech Collaboration Event in Atlanta and the side event of the Ukrainian delegation "Select Georgia: Taking Off from the U.S.-Ukraine Tech Launchpad" at SelectUSA2025 in Washington, D.C., the foundation was laid for a Ukraine-U.S. partnership that combines Ukrainian technological developments with the U.S. infrastructure, institutional support, and market opportunities.
The visit of the American delegation is focused on discussing the possibilities of opening representative offices of domestic tech companies in Georgia, joint initiatives to promote Ukrainian technologies in the United States, and participation in the formation of a platform for economic and technological diplomacy between the countries.
“We want to see companies like DroneUA among Gateway85's tech residents”, - said Emory Morsberger.
"This is a mutually beneficial cooperation: The US gets access to unique engineering solutions, and Ukrainian companies get new opportunities to scale in a safe and open environment."
In particular, the Gateway85 CID is one of the most influential business clusters in the Atlanta region, bringing together thousands of companies focused on safety, sustainability and innovation. The association opens doors for Ukrainian businesses, with integration into the American technology ecosystem and supply chains.
Along with the main purpose of Emory Morsberger's visit to Kyiv - to deepen strategic dialogue on the long-term presence of Ukrainian companies in the US market through the deployment of engineering and service operations and integration into local economic clusters - the meeting also had a public diplomatic purpose. The meeting laid the groundwork for a future visit of a Georgia economic development delegation to Ukraine and initiated a large-scale programme to familiarise American opinion leaders with the Ukrainian context, technological potential, and values.
Thus, Skyeton, a company specialising in the production of Raybird unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for commercial and military use with 19 years of experience in the aviation industry, visited DroneUA's office to meet with representatives of Gateway85 CID.
Along with the economic component, the Gateway85 team actively supports Ukrainian initiatives through the HelpingUkraine Foundation. Over the three years of joint work, critical equipment such as medical supplies, generators, ambulances and water purification systems have been delivered to the most vulnerable regions. Thus, a separate part of Emory Morsberger's mission is to support humanitarian initiatives that are critical to Ukraine's stability and resilience.
DroneUA shares the vision of the importance of technological volunteerism, where innovations work as a tool for country development, strengthening the technological capacity of communities, restoring critical areas through the implementation of advanced solutions, ensuring progress and sustainable development.
Ukraine demonstrates the power of tech entrepreneurship to push the boundaries of what is possible, transforming both internal processes and international perceptions of the potential of Ukrainian business.
The cooperation between DroneUA and Gateway85 CID is gaining new momentum, based on scaling Ukrainian solutions in the US, attracting investment, developing a local presence in Georgia, and creating joint platforms for promoting innovation.
DroneUA is grateful to Emory Morsberger and Olga Gorman for the dialogue and meeting, which are strategically important for the development of domestic technologies and the state of Georgia, as well as the creation of new growth points for Ukrainian business.
